About ME

The underlying driver of my artist work is the interest I have in putting the hidden on display. The invisible characteristics of the human beings fascinate me; the thoughts, motives, emotions and memories that operate unseen to create the individual. This present internal identity is inextricably tied to and shaped by past experiences, events and people from childhood. That same identity lays the groundwork for the future. Creating the work allows me to examine my own internal struggles, make sense of my world and evoke hope for the future. These struggles are not unique to me, but are experienced, to some extent, universally by others. It is my desire, then, that my work resonates with the veiwer; that it evokes a response at an emotional level.
